Loyal Source Government Services is looking for a phlebotomist to work at the Orlando VA Medical Center in Lake Baldwin.

 

Job Summary:

Full time Phlebotomist, M-F 0730a -4 pm with 30 min lunch break.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Phlebotomists are required to draw blood from patients using venipuncture, skin puncture, or arterial puncture. They also prepare the samples for laboratory testing. Explain the blood-drawing procedure to patients, verify their identification, and put them at ease. Ensure that blood samples meet regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. They maintain specimen integrity by following department procedures and using aseptic technique

Requirements:

Must be available to float between locations when needed. (Lake Baldwin, Lake Nona, Daytona Beach, Viera, Tavares, Kissimmee, Deltona, Clermont)

 

 Qualifications:

  •  BLS
  • CPRS
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Completion of Phlebotomy Training
  • Minimum of two (2) years of college with a biological science or six (6) months of specialized experience performing phlebotomy procedures
  • Certification from an approved Phlebotomy Training Program, or equivalent
  • Personality conducive to interacting with ill, disoriented, sometimes difficult inpatient and outpatient population

Pay: 18.10/HR plus 4.57/HR H&W.
