POSITION PURPOSE
Under the general supervision of the Director of Border Services, this position will provide mission critical, integrated, operational support to specific contracts and/or facilities and their infrastructure essentials. The major support areas in this position are Program Managers, Deputy Program Managers & Management personnel while managing the Program Support Specialists (PSS). Critical tasks will include the coordination of the operations and maintenance of assigned contracts and missions. This position will have direct oversight and supervision of the Orlando based CBP Program Management team and will be responsible for all personnel actions within that scope.
The Deputy Director of Border Services provides day-to-day operational management of Program Management and the PSS team for specific contracts and/or facilities as necessary to ensure mission success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
· Responsible for direct oversight and supervision of the CBP Program Management and PSS Team: hiring, training, employee development and retention.
· Evaluates and manage staffing levels across multiple teams within the CBP program.
· Serves as a liaison between internal policy issues and program staff
· Manages and evaluates work plans, objectives, and goals, ensuring the operation and programs are running effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively.
· Ensures that job responsibilities are clearly communicated, and duties delegated appropriately among program staff.
· Creates, implements, and enforces policies and procedures necessary to enhance program effectiveness.
· Oversee and evaluate program development and implementation of training plans in collaboration with Program Management team.
· Oversee management of PSS team payroll reconciliation that assists employees with correcting timesheets in Data Basics and troubleshooting pay issues.
· Oversee management of PSS team quality review process that assists with monthly/yearly training risk and/or meet contract requirements.
· Review PSS team Program and Policy Development for quality indicators and process improvement recommendations.
· Conduct performance reviews of the Program Management Team
· Provide regular operations updates and recommendations to the Director of Border Services
· When tasked, act as the Director of Border Services-HQ
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires (5) years’ relevant experience in related fields: operations, project management, business administration, healthcare administration, workforce solutions, staffing.
· A thorough understanding of healthcare workforce solutions and services markets.
· Experience with Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security, Military, OR other Government related field preferred.
· Minimum of (5) years of administrative and/or program support experience in healthcare staffing, office management, or working in a similar healthcare environment
· Minimum of (3) years’ experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
· Strong supervisory skills managing other leaders within an organization.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are required, including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.
· Excellent people skills required with the ability to communicate effectively and interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
· Superior written and verbal communication skills are required.
· Ability to obtain a Level 4 Public Trust Security Clearance.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BA/BS in related field is required.

TECHNOLOGICAL ABILITY:
· Competent in the use of MS Word and Excel.
· Competent in Outlook
· Competent in Google platforms
· Competent using SharePoint.
· Experience in Salesforce platform or similar preferred.
· Experience with Deputy, Kronos scheduler or similar preferred
