Loyal Source Government Services is seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to facilitate the deployment of Information Technology projects. This role involves managing complex software and hardware development projects, focusing on innovative technologies, and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams and vendors. The IT Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects by closely working with Business IT Teams and Vendors.
Salary: Starting at $100,000/year
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
· Certifications such as Project+, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· 4-7 years of relevant project management experience, ideally in cloud deployment and Office 365 environments.
· 2-5 years of Agile delivery experience.
· Strong experience in facilitating the gathering and development of requirements for complex solutions.
· In-depth knowledge of project management fundamentals (estimation, planning, resource management, issue and risk management, change management, communication planning).
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Proficiency with Office 365 Products such as Planner and Teams.
· Familiarity with project management and SCRUM tools/software (e.g., MS Project, MS TFS, Jira, MS Office, MS Visio, SharePoint, Kanban boards).
· Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude in a team environment.
· Technical background is desirable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
· Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors. Foster accountability and positive action among team members.
· Facilitate scope definition, high-level planning, discovery, and estimation workshops with cross-functional teams.
· Quantify cost factors required to deliver project deliverables, including resources, project oversight, risk, and contingency planning.
· Document key assumptions and dependencies identified during estimation activities.
· Prepare and present high-level plans and estimates to executives and cross-functional leaders.
· Create project schedules and communication plans, ensuring proactive scheduling of key deliverables, milestones, and tasks.
· Develop project plans and schedules with cross-discipline functional leads. Ensure that necessary steps and dependencies to deliver projects and components are established.
· Ensure scope, timeline, and budget align with project goals. Estimate resource needs with assistance from functional leads.
· Confidently lead cross-functional projects and individual tracks of large programs through the full delivery life cycle, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
· Serve as the primary liaison among multiple teams. Maintain regular communication with project and executive leadership on delivery progress, plan updates, budget forecasts, and adherence to schedules.
· Monitor adherence to schedules and milestone commitments, escalating key issues and risks for timely resolution.
· Use metrics, including burn-down charts, to drive performance, efficiency, and improve forecasts.
· Ensure proper project closure, including retrospectives/lessons learned, transition and hand-off to production operations support, and final financial reporting.
· Adhere to compliance and security regulations (NIST, CMMC, SOX, PCI, PII).
