POSITION PURPOSE

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining Workday reports, delivering meaningful metrics, trends, and analytical insights via Workday reporting and dashboards. This role involves analyzing, designing, and building new custom reports to meet business requirements, documenting report functions and designs, participating in report reviews, and ensuring compliance with security and data privacy standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in reports management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficiency in Workday HCM report writing (advanced Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields).
  • Analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business requirements, user needs, and translate them into operational requirements.
  • Working knowledge of HR/Finance information systems, including experience in designing, building, and testing reports.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2+ years of experience with HR/Finance applications and report development tools such as Business Objects, Crystal, and Workday Report Writer.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Workday experience or training preferred.
  • HR/Finance functional experience preferred.
  • Benefits and Leave of Absence functional experience preferred.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Develop and maintain simple to complex Workday reports, including matrix and composite reports, utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer.
  • Deliver meaningful metrics, trends, and analytical insights via Workday reporting and dashboards.
  • Analyze, design, and build new custom reports using standard Workday reporting functionality (e.g., Report Writer, Calculated Fields).
  • Analyze, design, and build new custom reports for reoccurring reporting for auditing purposes
  • Ensure custom reports function as designed based on business requirements.
  • Provide support for existing custom reports in Workday.
  • Document the report function and design to facilitate maintenance.
  • Participate in report reviews, ensuring compliance with security and data privacy standards.
  • Analyze impacts to reporting based on new releases or updates to system functionality and recommend/apply changes.
  • Partner with HR/FIN Stakeholders to deliver in Workday HCM system related reporting projects, including system releases/upgrades, enhancement packages, new reporting functionalities

  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and handle highly confidential data.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
