FINANCE FUNCTIONAL ANALYST
POSITION PURPOSE
The Finance Functional Analyst serves as the IS partner supporting Finance areas in Workday, including FP&A reporting, Expenses, Procurement, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Projects, Budgets, etc. This role involves providing consultation to Financials COEs, configuring, testing, validating, and implementing Business Process changes in Workday, and maintaining master data values.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Preferred Workday certified
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Understanding of Finance operations and experience in Finance data management and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with Finance and IT clients.
- Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Workday Finance experience or training preferred.
- Finance functional experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Serve as the IS partner supporting Finance areas in Workday, including FP&A reporting, Expenses, Procurement, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Projects, Budgets, etc.
- Provide consultation to Financials COEs, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions, and impact analysis.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities.
- Maintain master data values in Workday across areas of responsibility.
- Configure, test, validate, and implement Business Process changes in Workday.
- Assist in testing of integrations, security, and recurring events.
- Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday Team Lead, Workday Team Members, and clients as appropriate.
- Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 & 3 issues.
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen.
- Design and maintain system configuration, such as cost centers and consolidations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
- Knowledge of Adaptive Planning and PRISM preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll configuration preferred.
