SOC Analyst

POSITION PURPOSE

The Security Analyst is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and advising on security within the Workday application. This includes managing domain security policies, roles, and role assignments. The role involves coordinating with vendors, staying updated on new security features, performing audits, and demonstrating proof of security controls during audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in security.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Solid understanding of Workday security features and controls.
  • Knowledge of SOC 2 and data privacy regulations.
  • Working knowledge of HR/Finance information systems, data models, organization structures, and roles.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2+ years of experience with Workday HR/Finance application security.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Workday experience required.
  • HR/Finance functional experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Configure, maintain, and advise on security within Workday application, including domain security policies, roles, and role assignments.
  • Coordinate with vendors to understand new technology scope and association with new functionality and security.
  • Develop and maintain awareness of divisional and data security and comply with policies and procedures.
  • Participate in report reviews, ensuring compliance with security and data privacy standards.
  • Stay updated on new security features within the application’s future roadmap and implement where possible.
  • Perform audits on system roles and access logs to ensure accuracy.
  • Demonstrate proof of security controls during internal and external audits.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to accurately collect information to understand and assess client needs and situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with functional and IT clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable enforcing adherence to security policies and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
