Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for high level production and analysis surrounding our monthly accounting functions. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with experience in Fixed Assets and ASC 842 Lease Accounting.

Duties and Functions

·      Managing our fixed assets schedule

·      Recording assets as they are purchased and placed into service

·      Analyzing monthly depreciation and amortization

·      Monthly reconciliation of fixed assets schedules

·      Recording initial recognition for ASC 842 leases

·      Monthly ASC 842 amortization of leases

·      Monthly reconciliation of lease assets and liabilities

·      Monthly ad-hoc journal entries for month-end close

Education and Experience

·      Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

·      Minimum 5 years progressive accounting experience

·      Experience with fixed asset and lease accounting

·      Excellent communication skills

Preferred Requirements

·      Experience as a Senior Accountant

·      Experience with Workday platform

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)

·      Strong attention to detail

·      Proficiency with Excel

Supervisory Responsibilities

·      Reports to: Accounting Manager

·      Collaborates with: Accounting & Finance departments

Work Environment/Condition

·      Professional office environment using standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

·      Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·      Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
