Specialty Technician

Loyal Source is actively seeking an experienced Specialty Technician, for a contract assignment in Chantilly, VA.

Specialty Technician is responsible for backend support on integrated and ancillary systems. The Specialty Technician should be experienced in the installation, programming, maintenance and service of one or more system types as well as have IT skills for supporting backend infrastructure. This includes knowledge of how to configure and troubleshoot integrated systems, networked components, and applications. Specific skills for this position include but are not limited to networking, interfacing, database management, and application management.

§ Respond to telephone calls, email, and internal staff requests for technical support to include documentation, tracking, and monitoring of the request to ensure a timely resolution

§ Identify, prioritize and escalate support tickets requiring urgent attention

§ Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues

§ Follow up on reassigned unresolved requests

§ Research questions using available information resources

§ Escalate to appropriate team to dispatch Field Technician if the issue can’t be resolved remotely

§ Track all service cases including those delegated to Field Technicians to ensure the highest level of customer service and resolution of issues

§ Forward and escalate all reported complaints or complex issues to the appropriate parties

§ Research and share new and unique problems with the team to determine the best possible solution

Preferred Qualifications

•      Familiarity with IP/Networking and comfortable navigating various OS evolutions

•      AV control programming experience Creston, Extron, AMX. Or ability to work with programmers to load updated Control Programming Files and test changes as necessary

•      Solid understanding of SOW’s, blueprint drawing comprehension, schematics, and device installation best practices

•      Pro Audio Experience, DSP, and Live Sound applications

•      IP Video Based Certification

•      Rauland, Fire Alarm & Network Certification, & DCJS (not needed but would really like cross skilled individual)

•      Available for on-call rotation
