The Lead Electronic Systems Technician is responsible for installing and managing multifaceted projects within the Correctional Market.

Key responsibilities:

 include equipment installation, customer service, adherence to technical standards, project acceptance and closure, production efficiency, planning and scheduling, quality assurance, internal communication, and ensuring safety compliance.

Equipment Installation:

  • Develops understanding of industry wiring standards.
  • Performs cable placement, termination, and PC configuration.
  • Ensures proper labeling and maintains a clean workspace.

Customer Service:

  • Represents the organization professionally.
  • Maintains positive customer interactions.
  • Articulates information about installed systems clearly.

Technical Standards:

  • Adheres to established technical service standards.
  • Maintains tools, materials, and test equipment.
  • Manages inventory levels for on-site installations.

Project Acceptance and Closure:

  • Communicates and documents customer needs.
  • Assists Project Manager with training and As-Builts.

Production:

  • Ensures minimum chargeability of worked hours.
  • Completes duties within budgeted time frames.
  • Provides feedback for system integration improvements.

Planning and Scheduling:

  • Maintains job plans and specifications.
  • Assists in project installation planning and scheduling.
  • Monitors subcontractor performance.

Quality Assurance and Customer Satisfaction:

  • Represents the company on job sites.
  • Ensures quality installation and customer satisfaction.

Internal Communication:

  • Lead Team of 2-4 Technicians
  • Coordinates resources with the Scheduling Coordinator.
  • Utilizes Lead Tech for technical communication.
  • Completes documentation accurately and timely.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs work in adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Cultivates positive working relationships.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read construction documentation.
  • Familiarity with Access Control, IP Cameras, Intercom, and AV system installation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Proficiency with construction techniques and structured cabling.

Preferred:

  • Crestron Toolbox Experience.
  • OSHA 10 or higher
  • Computer configuration and networking skills.
  • Experience leading structured cabling installation projects.

Travel and Physical Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel nationally, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
