Service Technician

The Service Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our technology solutions across various client sites in Nebraska. From stadiums to hospitals, schools to banks, you’ll be at the forefront, providing essential support and maintenance services. The primary function of this position is servicing and inspecting Fire Alarm systems. This role will also some demand some troubleshooting, inspecting, and maintaining diverse technology systems including Access Control, Audio/Visual, Healthcare Communications, Sound Systems, and Video Surveillance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily service and support activities for both internal and external clients.
  • Service, inspect, and maintain technology solutions across diverse client sites.
  • Act as the front-line support, ensuring the smooth functioning of our technology solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer experience, acting as a point of escalation for challenging cases and effectively de-escalating situations.
  • Work independently or collaboratively within a team, engaging experts as needed.
  • Utilize secure remote PC access/VPN for troubleshooting and support.
  • Setup and utilize remote software such as TeamViewer efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a passion for technology and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from different departments and offices.
  • Assist in offsite Alarm Central account setup and troubleshooting.
  • Deploy onsite solutions when required.
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license and be willing to travel as necessary.
  • Be open to working overtime and weekends when required.
  • Safely climb ladders or scaffolding and lift up to 75lbs when necessary.

Requirements:

  • NICET Certification
  • Nebraska Or Iowa State Fire Alarm Inspector License (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Nebraska OR Iowa State Fire Alarm Installer License (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Preferred Experience with Siemens fire panels 
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer experience.
  • Adaptability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with concepts around secure remote PC access/VPN.
  • Experience troubleshooting a majority of the following systems:
    • Fire Alarm
    • Nurse Call
    • Access Control
    • Video Surveillance
    • Audio/Visual
    • Networking
