Security Service Technician

We are seeking a commercial or industrial Electronic Security Technician to join our federal team supporting the Knolls Power Atomic Laboratory in West Milton, NY and the Kesselring Naval Nuclear Lab in Niskayuna, NY. This role will primarily be responsible for the maintenance and service (corrective maintenance) of various commercial size access controls, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.

Location:

Will support the Knolls Power Atomic Laboratory in West Milton, NY and the Kesselring Naval Nuclear Lab in Niskayuna, NY. All work is based at these locations. No additional travel is required.

Shift:

Primarily First shift (day shift), Monday-Friday. Will need to support on-call at times for emergencies.

Pay: $35/hr

Requirements:

·       High School diploma or equivalent

·  Experience with CCure9000 for the IDS and Access Control, and American Dynamics for the camera

·       Experience installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing commercial or industrial integrated / electronic security systems for complex low voltage intrusion, access control, CCTV and digital recording systems.

·       Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one

·       Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. 

·       Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.

·       CCure9000 for the IDS and Access Control, and American Dynamics for the camera is very strongly preferred

Responsibilities

·       Conducts maintenance and service work of existing Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include, but not limited to, access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems. Specific systems include, but not limited to: Softwarehouse Ccure 9000, American Dynamics, Axis, and others.

·       May install security devices and infrastructure at times in accordance with installation plan according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines

·       Assists with security system programming and setup.

·       Conducts testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs

Pay

Based off of experience starting at $35/hr
