Loyal Source Government Services is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Silverdale, WA.
Pay Range: $92,000- $115,000 Based off of experience
US Citizenship is required for this position
TASK/SERVICE
The Contractor shall provide the following services:
- Preparing or providing review of engineering calculations, cost estimates, design drawing, and specifications for upland and sediment remediation, waterfront development, and shoreline restoration projects.
- Analysis of in-water and upland remediation sites, including the planning and implementation of field sampling and investigation programs, data analysis, feasibility studies, and geotechnical and environmental data.
- Preparing qualitative and quantitative analyses of geotechnical data.
- Apply engineering knowledge to new and refurbishment projects and/or issues to determine the correct course of action.
- Prepare design contract scopes, design fee estimates, and fee reconciliations to facilitate contracting consulting services.
- Technical writing and sampling of analysis plans, geotechnical evaluations and baseline reports, and feasibility study reports.
- Supporting field assignments, including conducting geotechnical and environmental sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, and water quality) and providing construction management support during project implementation.
- Tracking project budgets and progress and mentoring team members
- Developing, coordinating, and reviewing technical project work
- Independent and with working knowledge utilize typical design software packages.
- Provide technical expertise in negotiations with Architectural-Engineering firms and general contractors. Contractor does not have the scope of authority to negotiate/bind the Government to a contract.
- Address contractor submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR OTHER EXPERTISE REQUIRED
Contractor employees performing services must meet the following requirements and have the licenses and/or certifications for each respective position:
- Experience with industry-standard geotechnical computer software for slope stability, foundation design, settlement, seismic design, and finite element analysis.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Three or more years of experience as a geotechnical protection engineer facility designer for new and existing buildings.
- Experience in high-seismic areas (such as pacific coastal region).
- Ability to use AutoCAD and other design software.
- Experience with field inspections and construction monitoring activities.
- Ability to prepare and provide high-level briefs to senior leadership. Oral and written communication skills must be highly developed.
