Registered Nurse – Private Duty

Loyal Source is urgently hiring Private Duty Registered Nurse in Loudon County, VA.
PDN: would provide 1:1 nursing support based on the student’s medical needs.
· Nurse would be placed at various locations throughout the school district to cover a health office as a substitute for the nurse or assist the nurse for the day.
· Could potentially be placed short term at one school.
· Cross train for Private Duty Nurse cases to cover as a substitute.
· Provide 1:1 nursing care by following the physician’s orders on occasion
· Assessment
· Medication Administration
· G-tube feedings administration on occasion
· ADLs
· Seizure monitoring and seizure rescue medication administration on occasion
· Transferring
· Application of AFOs
· Notifying the school nurse/ resource nurse if student’s baseline medical status has changed
Requirements:
· Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia
· Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification pertinent to the age of the student
· Fingerprints Clearance
· Standard Background Check and Criminal History Record
· Drug Screening
· Annual TB Screening
· Measles, Mumps, Rubella – Serological proof of immunity, or proof of immunizations, or signed waiver.
· Documentation of HBV Vaccination, or serological proof of immunity, or signed waiver
· Resume/Work History
