Loyal Source is looking for Registered Nurses for day shift employment opportunities at the Haynesville Correctional Center in Haynesville, Virginia.
About the Role:
Registered Nurses are integral members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, tasked with providing professional nursing care to inmates. You will contribute significantly to patient care quality and medical outcomes by developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans to meet inmate healthcare needs in line with Virginia Department of Corrections Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive professional nursing care and treatment to inmates.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
- Apply principles and practices of professional registered nursing care acquired through formal education and training.
- Make contacts with patients, medical support staff, supervisory nurses, and physicians.
- Lead LPNs and direct medical service support staff.
- Use discretion and judgment frequently in patient assessment and case management.
- Receive guidance and direction from a nursing supervisor, manager, or medical professional.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate degree in nursing or higher.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
Pay: $33.00 – $51.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
