Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist

Loyal Source is looking for a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist for an employment opportunity in Durango, Colorado.

Position Overview:

The Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist will provide nutritional counseling and dietetic services to patients, focusing on promoting health and wellness through evidence-based dietary strategies. This role involves working closely with healthcare teams to deliver individualized nutritional care plans.

Qualifications:

• Must meet state qualification requirements for the role in Colorado.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university.
• Must have completed a didactic program in dietetics accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), formerly known as the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education (CADE).
• Must have completed an ACEND-accredited or approved supervised practice program. Supervised practice programs are post-baccalaureate programs that provide essential supervised practice experiences meeting the eligibility requirements and accreditation standards of ACEND.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct nutritional assessments for patients to determine their dietary needs and objectives.
• Develop and implement tailored nutritional care plans, focusing on promoting health and managing medical conditions through diet.
• Provide nutritional counseling and education to patients, caregivers, and families.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and promote positive patient outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients to adjust care plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care plans.
