Loyal Source is looking for a Physician – Family Practice for an employment opportunity at the Naval Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina.
About the Role:
This position will provide services in support of the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) Limited Duty (LIMDU), Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL), deployability, Physical Readiness Suitability Screening programs at Naval Hospital Beaufort, SC. The primary goal of the IDES is to maintain a fit fighting force. This is a unique opportunity to serve those who serve our country while working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.
- Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
- Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
- Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling.
- Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate professionals.
Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) at the time the degree was obtained (e.g. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
Certification: BLS (AHA or ARC). Note that the DoD only recognizes certifications issued by boards that are members of the American. Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists Certified in BLS (AHA or ARC).
Internship/Residency/Fellowship: Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine from any U.S. state, territory or commonwealth.
Experience: 2 years in the last 5 years in a similar setting.
Schedule: Services shall be provided Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9-hour period, to include an uncompensated 30 – 60 minute lunch break, respectively.
Benefits Offered: 1099 pay package
Pay: $131.50 per hour.
