Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC)

Loyal Source is looking for a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) for an employment opportunity in Durango, Colorado.

Position Overview:

The Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) will provide comprehensive mental health services to Veterans and their families. This position involves conducting assessments, offering therapeutic counseling, and collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to independently practice in Colorado as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, including diagnosis and treatment.

Must possess a master’s or doctoral degree in one of the following fields:

• Clinical Mental Health Counseling
• Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling
• Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling
• Or a related field from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
• Related fields include but are not limited to Addiction Counseling, Community Counseling, Gerontology Counseling, and Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine the mental health needs of Veterans, their families, and caregivers.
• Provide a full range of mental health services within the established scope of practice, including treatment planning and brief individual, family, and group counseling.
• Engage in Collaborative Care Management and other appropriate services.
• Collaborate with the PACT team to provide mental health services to both assigned and unassigned patients in accordance with VHA Directive 1160.01 and contractual requirements.
