About the Role:
As an Assistant Health Services Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare services within a federally managed facility that provides care to individuals in U.S. government custody. Working in a secure, clinic environment, you will assist in administrative oversight, coordinate clinical services, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and a strong commitment to ethical care and regulatory compliance in a high-accountability setting.
Pay: $50.13 + 4.93 (H&W) = $55.06
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of health services, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Support the Health Services Administrator in implementing policies and procedures that ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including patient flow, service delivery, and staff productivity.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between departments, providers, and external partners.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare administrative or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in correctional, military, or community health settings.
- Familiarity with Texas state health regulations and Medicaid/Medicare processes.
Physical Requirements:
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking or jogging over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment.
Schedule:
This facility operates 24/7/365. This full-time position requires working days, evenings, as well as weekends and holidays. Specific hours will be determined by the facility needs. On-call availability is not required.
