About the Role:
The Podiatrist will provide essential podiatric services at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Kingston, ensuring comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and management of podiatric conditions. This role significantly impacts veteran healthcare by delivering specialized care in outpatient, urgent care, inpatient, and telehealth settings. The Podiatrist will also play a critical role in educating trainees, maintaining accurate medical records, and participating in administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide podiatric services including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical and surgical disorders in diverse settings.
- Perform procedures in both operating room and office settings.
- Conduct clinical reviews, triage, and manage podiatric consults.
- Engage in teaching and training of residents and medical students.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of medical records.
- Participate in committees and peer review processes as assigned.
- Conduct biomedical evaluations of lower extremities for pathology management.
- Address neuropathic or vascular ulcerations and osteoarthritis of the bunion joint.
- Develop devices for redistribution of weight bearing and manage related foot pathology.
- Treat static foot problems through biomechanical evaluation and device utilization.
- Provide local care for corns, calluses, pedal ulceration, and nail conditions.
Required Qualifications:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States.
- Education: Doctor of podiatric medicine degree from an approved school.
- Residency Training: Completed or completing accredited core specialty training for board certification eligibility.
- Licensure & Registration: Must hold a full and unrestricted license to practice podiatry in the United States or District of Columbia.

Pay: Starting at $138.37 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
