About the Role
The Provider Liaison Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and developing a team of Provider Liaisons and Supervisors to enhance performance, ensure compliance, and optimize overall operations. This position guides strategic initiatives, participates in departmental strategies, and focuses on revenue generation. The Manager is responsible for maintaining strong, sustainable relationships with network physicians and internal business partners, enhancing physician satisfaction and operational efficiency. Serving as a crucial link between departments, the role ensures that providers meet compliance and contractual guidelines. A successful National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Development:
- Mentor and develop team leaders to build future organizational leaders.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings, provide performance feedback, and identify development opportunities for team members.
- Implement and manage leadership development programs to enhance skills and career progression.
Strategic Planning and Revenue Generation:
- Participate in departmental strategies focused on optimizing processes and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with senior management to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue generation within the provider network.
Comprehensive Examiner Network Management:
- Ensure provider accounts adhere to all program eligibility and compliance requirements.
- Oversee account maintenance within applicable systems.
- Facilitate completion of all VA TRAIN and MDE4VETS Training requirements in collaboration with internal teams.
- Proactively anticipate and address potential issues to prevent downstream problems and optimize provider experiences.
Operational Excellence and Strategic Collaboration:
- Lead strategic initiatives to refine and implement effective strategies for the examiner network.
- Serve as the main point of contact for interdepartmental collaboration, ensuring streamlined operations with teammates and partners.
- Conduct trend analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance network performance.
Training and Development:
- Oversee the implementation of comprehensive training and development plans for team members.
- Facilitate regular meetings and training sessions to enhance communication and skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coach provider liaisons on company best practices to ensure high-quality medical reports are completed in line with contractual requirements and timelines.
Interdepartmental Collaboration and Trend Analysis:
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to streamline operations and improve provider experiences.
- Conduct detailed trend analyses to identify opportunities for improving network efficiency.
Coordination and Communication:
- Facilitate regular meetings and enhance communication between providers and internal teams.
- Address and resolve provider-related issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives that refine communication strategies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a healthcare-related field or equivalent work/educational experience.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing others.
- Strong ability to adapt to dynamic work environments while handling multiple priorities.
- Administrative and customer service experience of 5+ years.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills combined with outstanding communication abilities tailored to various audiences.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a talent for multitasking and effective prioritization.
- Previous account management experience is required.
Preferred Requirements:
- MDE experience
- Provider Liaison experience and/or lead experience
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
