Loyal Source is looking for a Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Practice Nurse) for an employment opportunity at the 628th Medical Group, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina.
About the Role:
The Nurse Practitioner will provide services to support daily clinical operations for the beneficiaries at the 628th Medical Group (MDG) Joint Base (JB) Charleston. The Nurse Practitioner will offer a variety of healthcare services to patients during extended gaps caused by personnel separation and deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine health assessments and screenings for pediatric through adult patients.
- Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries from pediatric to adult patients.
- Provide age-appropriate vaccinations and immunizations.
- Offer health education and counseling to pediatric through adult patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric and adult patients.
- Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.
- Technically direct and teach other staff, provide evidenced-based educational lectures, and participate in in-service training to staff members.
- Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma.
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
- Recognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters.
- Attend staff meetings for case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement and safety.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited academic program recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Certification: Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). BLS certification is required through AHA or ARC.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license from any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth. Nurse Practitioners must have licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), with prescriptive authority.
- Experience: 2 years in the last 4 years in a similar setting.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Benefits Offered: W2 pay package with paid time off.
Pay: $61.23 per hour.
