Loyal Source is looking for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) for Notional employment opportunities in El Paso, Texas.  

About the Role 

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide direct patient care within a federally managed facility serving individuals in U.S. government custody. In this secure, transitional clinical setting, you will support a multidisciplinary healthcare team by conducting intake screenings, administering medications, supporting other providers in the clinic, and performing a variety of clinical procedures. This role requires clinical competence, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering safe, ethical, and patient-centered care in a high-accountability environment. 

Pay: $26.90 + 4.93 (H&W) = $31.83

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver nursing care within the scope of licensure and in accordance with clinical protocols. 
  • Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, and topical routes. 
  • Conduct intake screenings and refer abnormal findings to appropriate providers. 
  • Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy, and tuberculosis skin testing. 
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing. 
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide stabilization care. 
  • Support other healthcare professionals with data collection, patient education, and care coordination. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). 
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy standards. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Graduate of a state-approved Vocational/Practical Nurse program. 
  • Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in Texas or a compact state. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association®. 
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital, outpatient, or clinical setting. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in detention, correctional, or residential healthcare settings. 
  • Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) or Certified Corrections Nurse credential. 
  • Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. 
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods. 
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
  • Respond quickly in emergency situations. 
  • Perform CPR and emergency care while standing or kneeling. 
  • Assist individuals during emergency evacuations. 

Schedule 

This facility operates 24/7/365. This full-time position requires availability for day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. On-call availability is not required.
