Loyal Source is looking for a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse for an employment opportunity in Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. This position is notional and contingent on the award of the contract.

A Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse will support daily clinical operations at the 628th Medical Group, Joint Base Charleston. The role involves delivering various professional medical and medical support services, significantly contributing to patient care and overall service delivery within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, perform, and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations.
  • Complete assigned patient care based on patient conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report, and record relevant patient information.
  • Observe, identify, and respond to the patient’s needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education.
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.
  • Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance from the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
  • Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices, including preparing the patient, assisting in diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or equipment, and monitoring the patient’s condition before, during, and following procedures.
  • Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies, procedures, skills, and standards of practice.
  • Integrate healthy work environment principles to improve patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and families, and employee satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certificate in nursing is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited college, university, or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission of Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).
  • Minimum of one-year experience as a practical or vocational nurse.
  • BLS/CPR (AHA OR ARC) certification required prior to starting the position.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays, between 0730-1630 with a 30 to 60-minute unpaid meal break (not exceeding 40 hours per week).

Benefits Offered: W2 pay package with paid leave, holidays, and eligibility for health insurance options.

Pay: $26.08 per hour plus $4.93 per hour Health & Welfare.
