Phlebotomist

Loyal Source is looking for Phlebotomists for employment opportunities at the Stock VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in French Camp, California. Note that this position is notional and contingent on the award of the contract.

About the Role:

As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services at the Stock VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, which is part of the VA Northern California Health Care System (VANHCS). You will ensure high-quality patient care, performing venipunctures, testing, and processing specimens, while adhering to industry and organization standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Properly perform venipuncture.
• Perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
• Determine current clinician orders in the computer.
• Collect adequate and properly labeled specimens & perform waived/non-waived testing.
• Process specimens for testing and shipment to another laboratory for testing.
• Provide information to customers and address any concerns.

Required Qualifications:

• Must hold and maintain a current certificate by the State of California as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
• A minimum of one-year experience with direct patient care experience performing venipunctures in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Will need BLS – CPR (AHA) prior to starting in the position.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. Between the hours of 07:30-17:30 with a 30-minute unpaid meal break & two 15-minute breaks. (Not to exceed 40 hours per week)

Benefits Offered: W2 pay package with paid leave, holidays, and eligibility for health insurance options.

Pay: $25.72 per hour.
