Loyal Source is looking for a Registered Nurse – Assistant Nurse Manager for a notional opportunity in a Philadelphia, PA.  

Pay: $48.31-$53.31 + $5.09 Fringe /hr

About the Role: 

As a Registered Nurse – Assistant Nurse Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting comprehensive nursing services within a federally managed facility that provides care to individuals in U.S. government custody. Working in a secure, clinic environment, you will support the Nurse Manager by supervising nursing staff, managing schedules, providing guidance, and maintaining the quality of nursing care. This position requires professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and a strong commitment to ethical care and regulatory compliance in a high-accountability setting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Nurse Manager in supervising patient care provided by nursing staff. 
  • Develop plans, create schedules and assignments, and provide direction in nursing care. 
  • Evaluate and revise patient treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. 
  • Serve as a liaison with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. 
  • Conduct staff in-services and coordinate nursing care with on-site staff. 
  • Lead orientation and training of new nursing personnel. 
  • Perform duties as a Registered Nurse when required to meet mission needs. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program for Registered Nurses. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; graduate degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of six years of professional nursing experience. 
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience. 
  • Current, full and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state of duty. 
  • Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers certification. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Critical thinking and cultural competency skills. 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting preferred. 
  • Certified Correctional Health Professional credentials preferred. 
  • Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking or jogging over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment.

Schedule: 

This facility operates 24/7/365. This full-time position requires working days, evenings, as well as weekends and holidays. Specific hours will be determined by the facility needs. On-call availability is not required.
