Security Service Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and servicing security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Pay Rate: $30/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain security systems such as access control, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and fire systems.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients on system functionality and best practices.
• Complete accurate documentation of service calls, repairs, and installations.
• Travel within a 150-mile radius from Lexington/Richmond, KY (company vehicle provided).

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years in the security/fire industry with a strong troubleshooting and servicing background.
  • Certifications: NICET certification highly preferred.
  • Kentucky Fire Alarm License preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with access control, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
