Electronic Security Technician

In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems. Performing preventive maintenance requirements. Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory 

Responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

• Leading small teams or an individual contributor on small moderately complex installation projects.
• Conducting and documenting daily tool box talks.
• Installing all head end equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
• Programming head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
• Providing on-site software commissioning and testing.
• Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory  

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Requires a Valid driver’s license

·       5+ years of experience must be focused in electronic security systems

• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.
• This position may require travel

Desired Qualifications

·       Experience in Installation, inspection, terminating, testing, troubleshooting/maintenance of ISP/OSP telecommunications systems (Fiber Optics, Category 5, 6, 6A, and associated equipment) such as:

  o Various size conduit pathways and cable tray

  o Various types of Low Voltage Cable 

  o Various Cabinet and Racks 

  o Various Telecommunications Devices 

  o Prefabricated Components and Assemblies. 

  o Telecommunications Grounding Systems

• BICSI Certifications (Level 1 and/or 2) or Equivalent is a plus.
• Installation of video and data cable with Cat 5E, Cat 6 as well as fiber cable.
• Terminating and testing of horizontal copper (Cat 5, Cat 6).
• Termination of fiber. 
• Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
• Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, Aiphone Intercom Systems AIphone, CCURE, Genetec, Zenitel, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
