Lead Security Technician

Loyal Source is looking for a Lead Security Technician for an employment opportunity in South Bend, Indiana.

Position Overview:

The Lead Technician will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians to install, configure, and test security systems for new data center construction projects. This role involves coordinating with various teams to ensure efficient installation and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and supervise technicians responsible for security system installations, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
• System Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation and integration of security infrastructure, ensuring proper configuration and testing per design specifications.
• Collaboration with Construction & Engineering Teams: Work with construction, electrical, and network teams for timely and coordinated security system installations.
• Quality Control: Ensure installed systems meet quality standards, including system testing and validation before operational handover.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, escalating as necessary for timely resolution.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and test results. Generate reports for internal stakeholders.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, codes, and company policies. Ensure systems meet compliance standards for data centers.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and contractors, ensuring equipment delivery and installation per specifications.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical certification (e.g., NICET, CompTIA Security+) or related degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in security system installation, configuration, and commissioning.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role managing technician teams.
• Experience with security system installation in data centers or large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and system design documentation.
• Familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems and IT networking related to security installations.
• OSHA 10, OSHA 30 certifications.

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Schedule: M-F 6:00AM-3:00PM
