Loyal Source is looking for a Network Engineer for an employment opportunity in Orlando, Florida.
About the Role:
The Network Engineer will report to the Network Manager and play a pivotal role in leading network initiatives, supporting strategic planning, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will assist in designing, implementing, and managing secure network solutions that span multiple sites. This role is critical in ensuring the organization’s network operations are efficient and secure, contributing significantly to the organization’s infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and guide a team of network administrators and technicians.
- Coordinate and oversee daily network operations, troubleshooting, and projects.
- Mentor junior staff members.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for network infrastructure.
- Participate in planning, designing, and executing network projects.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for network performance and scalability.
Technical Expertise:
- Design and maintain Aruba access points and switches.
- Implement Zscaler cloud security solutions.
- Deploy Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN for remote connectivity.
- Monitor network performance and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with network security protocols.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Serve as an escalation point for network-related issues.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed network designs, configurations, and reports.
- Prepare reports on network performance and incident management.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about emerging network technologies.
- Develop best practices for network operations and management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering focusing on Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN, Zscaler, and Aruba products.
- Expertise in network security technologies and wireless network infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) or equivalent.
- Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) or equivalent.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent.
Skills/Abilities:
- Effective communication skills in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong customer service skills and organizational skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
