Loyal Source is looking for a Desktop Support specialist for an employment opportunity in Orlando, Florida.
About the Role:
The Desktop Support role is crucial in ensuring proper computer operation, enabling end users to accomplish their business tasks efficiently. This includes setting up new Windows computer systems, handling help requests, and providing hands-on assistance. The position requires dynamic problem-solving skills and the ability to use diagnostic tools effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends to prevent future problems.
- Maintain par levels for IT equipment and supplies; notify Director for orders as needed.
- Field help requests from end users courteously via telephone and e-mail.
- Document essential end-user information, including problem details.
- Prioritize, schedule, and escalate problems when needed.
- Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process.
- Apply diagnostic utilities for troubleshooting.
- Access online resources to aid problem resolution.
- Identify and learn organization-supported software and hardware.
- Perform hands-on fixes, software installations, hardware upgrades, file backups, and system configurations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Test fixes to ensure issues are resolved and perform post-resolution follow-ups.
- Develop help sheets and FAQ lists for end users.
- Assist end users with the corporate Intune/autopilot process.
- Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- CompTIA A+
- 1 year of computer-related experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with Windows 10, Android, IOS, and Microsoft Intune/Autopilot.
- Support experience with Windows 10, MSO 365, VOIP systems, ERP systems, and desktop hardware.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong documentation, research, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and experience in a team-oriented environment.
