Loyal Source is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist (ERS) for an employment opportunity in El Paso, Texas.
POSITION PURPOSE
The entry level Employee Relations Manager/Senior Employee Relations Specialist will serve as a key resource in fostering a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns and ensuring compliance with both federal and state employment laws and company policies. This role will partner with Operations leadership as well as HR leadership to effectively manage employee relations matters both remotely and on-site as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, complaints, and policy interpretation, ADA and other regulatory Accommodation requests and leaves of absence.
- Conduct fair, thorough, and timely workplace investigations into allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and policy violations, etc.
- Partner with the business to provide guidance on corrective action, performance management and conflict resolution in the workplace.
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of employee relations policies, practices, and training initiatives.
- Track and analyze employee relations data trends to recommend proactive solutions that will aid in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with urgency, professionalism, and discretion.
- Build strong relationships with employees and leadership to promote a culture of trust, accountability, and respect.
- Participate in projects and initiatives that enhance employee engagement, workplace culture, and organizational effectiveness.
- Leaves & Accommodations: Partner with business leaders on ADA interactive process, workplace accommodations, FMLA/CFRA, and state-specific healthcare leave laws.
PAY: Starting at $70,000
QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required or three years of human resource experience three years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Ability to provide guidance to employees and department heads in the area of Human Resources.
- Entry level ER Manager, 3-5 years of progressive HR or employee relations experience with demonstrated exposure to investigations and conflict resolutions.
- Lead ER Specialist, 4-7 years of employee relations or HR business partner experience, including direct responsibility for investigations and employee counseling.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interviewing and investigative techniques
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Authorized to work in the United States
