Loyal Source is looking for a Data Engineer for an employment opportunity in Orlando (hybrid), Florida.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable pipelines, optimize data workflows, and support analytics initiatives. In this role, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights by building robust data infrastructure and collaborating with data analysts, data engineers, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support data analytics and business intelligence.
- Provide recommendations and suggestions on data architecture and data warehouse design.
- Optimize and manage data warehouse (Microsoft Fabric) and ensure sufficient data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to prepare data for machine learning, reporting, and dashboarding.
- Implement data quality, validation, and governance processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Work with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) to manage data processing and storage solutions.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and other data transformation scripts for performance and scalability.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including APIs, databases, and third-party services.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve data processing efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in data engineering, ML engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools.
- Hands-on experience with data warehouses and data lakes.
- Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
- Experience with designing and architecting data warehouse and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience with PowerBI and how to structure data for reporting.
Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployment.
- Experience developing machine learning models.
- Working knowledge of statistics.
- Understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations.
