Loyal Source is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist for an employment opportunity in El Paso, TX.

Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory operations, including dock management, bin locations, labeling, and cycle counts. This role ensures accurate and timely preparation of pick tickets and replenishment kits, executes delivery routes, and maintains stock levels in all required patient care medical spaces (e.g., Ambulatory, Intake, and Dormitory areas). The Inventory Control Specialist also coordinates with the warehouse to resolve shortages, documents damages and shortages, and supports PM-directed reorders to maintain optimal inventory levels and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Operations

  • Manage dock operations, including receiving, staging, and dispatching inventory.
  • Oversee bin locations and ensure accurate labeling of all inventory items.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Prepare pick tickets and replenishment kits for distribution to various facility areas.

Distribution & Stocking

  • Execute daily delivery routes to ensure timely stocking of Ambulatory, Intake, and Dormitory areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Close shortages with the warehouse by coordinating timely restocking and transfers.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Document damages and shortages, and initiate Health Services Administrator and/or Supply Chain and Logistics Manager-directed reorders as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, deliveries, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with facility, regulatory, and safety standards for inventory management.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, facility personnel, and management to resolve inventory issues.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in audits or inspections as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move inventory items as required.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, correctional, or government facility inventory management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for inventory control.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.

Reporting & Supervision

  • Reports to: Supply Chain and Logistics Manager
  • Collaborates with: Warehouse staff, facility operations, and procurement teams.

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass background check and security clearance.
  • Participate in initial and annual training on inventory procedures, safety, and emergency response.

Physical Demands 

  • All candidates must be physically able to perform all strenuous duties entailed in this position. Candidates will be able to exert themselves under rigorous environmental conditions. These physical demands are including but not limited to pulling up or repositioning patients, lifting supplies, bending over to perform certain duties.  
  • This individual must also be able to maneuver throughout small hallways and many stairways either in response to emergencies or to conduct daily responsibilities.  
  • This candidate will be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath. Coordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is moving such as: stooping, bending, lifting, pulling, and twisting. Able to walk long distances up to and including 200ft over uneven dirt grounds.  
  • Candidates will possess the ability to work irregular hours; and will be flexible to change location within a sector when asked.
