A seasoned healthcare executive, retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, and recognized leader in healthcare operations, quality, and technology, Chris has spent his career driving initiatives that improve organizational performance, strengthen patient safety, and develop high-performing teams. His appointment to lead the South Texas HIMSS Chapter reflects a longstanding commitment to advancing healthcare through innovation, collaboration, and service to the profession.
Throughout his career, Chris has been a strong advocate for connecting people, ideas, and technology to address complex healthcare challenges. Through his work at Loyal Source and HIMSS, he has helped foster professional development, strengthen the healthcare workforce, and promote the exchange of knowledge that drives better outcomes and organizational performance.
As President of the South Texas HIMSS Chapter, Chris will focus on expanding the region’s health information technology footprint by fostering collaboration among healthcare organizations, academic institutions, and industry leaders. Through partnerships with colleges and universities, he aims to cultivate future healthcare and technology professionals, while working alongside health system executives to advance the strategic use of health IT to improve outcomes, drive operational excellence, and accelerate innovation across the healthcare ecosystem.
