Steve brings more than 36 years of military service, including more than three decades in Army Special Operations Forces. His career spans operational medicine, combat casualty care, military health research, force readiness, and senior medical leadership in some of the most demanding environments in modern military operations.
Steve understands the battlefield and battlefield medicine, because he lived it…for decades.
He completed 16 combat rotations across six conflicts and served as a Ranger, a Green Beret, an Operator, a Physician Assistant, and the Deputy Command Surgeon for U.S. Army Special Operations Command. He managed the longest continuously funded TBI surveillance program in ARSOF history and co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications advancing military medicine.
