Position Overview

Loyal Source is seeking an experienced Security Installation Technician to join our growing team in Lenexa, Kansas. This role is ideal for a skilled low-voltage professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing electronic security systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage systems for customers throughout the region. Projects are located within a two-hour radius of Lenexa, KS, requiring regular local travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and service electronic security systems, including:
  • Access Control Systems
  • CCTV/Video Surveillance Systems
  • Card Reader Systems
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Related Low-Voltage Systems
• Run, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling.
• Mount and install security devices, panels, cameras, readers, and associated equipment.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all installations meet customer requirements, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.
• Complete service reports, project documentation, and installation records accurately.
• Coordinate effectively with project managers, customers, and other field personnel.
• Follow all company safety policies and job-site procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing and servicing access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, or other electronic security systems.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring methods and industry best practices.
• Experience terminating and testing low-voltage cabling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and construction documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel to project sites within a two-hour radius of Lenexa, KS.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise access control platforms such as LenelS2, Software House, Avigilon, Genetec, or similar systems.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Industry certifications in access control, CCTV, or low-voltage systems.
• Experience working in commercial, healthcare, education, or government facilities.
