Business Development Manager I

Job Description

SUMMARY This position supports the Department of Veterans Medical Disability Evaluation (MDE) program. The MDE Provider Network Business Development Manager, plays a vital role in expanding and maintaining our network of healthcare providers, and is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and contracting with medical professionals to ensure our network meets the needs of our clients and members.

Pay Rate: $24.04 / hour

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

1. Identifying Potential Examiners

  • Research and identify medical professionals (e.g., physicians, specialists) interested in conducting Medical Disability Exams within their own practice.
  • Leverage platforms, databases, and professional networks to compile a targeted list of potential examiners.

2. Outreach and Engagement

  • Initiate contact with prospective examiners via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Present the benefits and opportunities of joining our Provider Network, addressing questions and concerns effectively.

3. Relationship Building

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with interested examiners to encourage participation in the network.
  • Conduct timely follow-ups to ensure ongoing engagement and resolve any outstanding inquiries.
  • Negotiate rates with provider accounts within established parameters.

4. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and interactions with potential examiners.
  • Generate regular reports detailing outreach activities, engagement metrics, and conversion rates.

5. Collaboration

  • The information contained herein is confidential and proprietary to Loyal Source Government Services, Inc. and may only be shared with authorized individuals.
  • Partner with the Network Provider Team and cross-functional departments to ensure smooth onboarding of new examiners.
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to share ideas for enhancing recruitment strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Medical Experience
  • Sales Experience
  • Customer Service Experience KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA)
  • Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of the medical field and the operational structure of a provider network.

Skills

  • Expertise in sourcing and provider outreach.
  • Skilled in negotiations and relationship building.
  • Proficient in utilizing tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sourcing platforms, and AI-driven solutions.

Abilities

  • Effectively manage active provider accounts while maintaining a balanced book of business.
  • Drive growth by adding new partners to the provider network without compromising existing relationships.
  • This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with providers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will not have supervisory responsibilities

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
