Security Installation Technician – Austin, TX

Starting at $30/hr

We are seeking a skilled Security Installation Technician to join our team in the Austin, TX area. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, takes pride in high‑quality work, and is comfortable working independently in the field.

Position Overview

The technician will install, service, and troubleshoot a variety of low‑voltage security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and fire alarm equipment. Most work will be in the greater Austin area, with occasional travel to San Antonio.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in security system installation within a commercial setting
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Access control systems
  • CCTV/video surveillance
  • Fire alarm systems
• Ability to run circuits, pull cable, and trim out devices and panels is required
• Experience installing Telecor paging systems is highly preferred
• Preferred manufacturer experience:
  • Genetec
  • Verkada
  • Axis
• Must be reliable, professional, and able to work in the field with minimal supervision
