Licensed Practical Nurse – Neurology
Job Description
Position Summary
Provides nursing support in a Neurology outpatient clinic, assisting with patient intake, medication administration, diagnostics, documentation, and coordination of specialty care.
Legal Authorization to Work in the United States
The contract worker must be legally authorized to work in the United States as defined by DHS and USCIS.
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program. Must have successfully passed the NCLEX‑PN.
Experience: Minimum two years of full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse experience.
Certifications
Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Computer‑based training is not acceptable.
Board Certification
None.
Licensure
Must maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted LPN license in a U.S. jurisdiction. Any disciplinary action or license loss must be reported within 72 hours.
Contract Worker Standard Qualifications
Perform a full range of LPN duties within the scope of their license; assist providers with patient care, diagnostic support duties, and treatments; administer prescribed medications; recognize urgent or emergent care situations; document patient care accurately; support neurology‑specific procedures; maintain equipment and infection control standards; participate in training and continuing education; and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
