Medical Admin/Scheduler – Telehealth

Job Description

Position: Medical Admin/Scheduler

Location: Remote/Telehealth

Pay Rate: Vary depending on location

Responsibilities

• Obtains examiner availability, builds examiners schedules, looks for scheduling issues and check case that the Zoom link is correctly added into MDE4VETS

• Call veterans 5 days and 1 day before scheduled exam date to confirm appointment and make sure veteran can access the Zoom link

• Assist veteran to use Zoom for TH appts and test the link on the platform they will be using

• Informs Operations Manager of any errors found and escalates to support@mde4vets.com as necessary.

• Documents all contacts with veterans in veteran connect in the case

• Assist in getting the veteran and examiner to connect as needed

• Assist with rescheduling appointments

 

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required

• Scheduling experience preferably in a medical setting

• Excellent interpersonal skills 

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner 

• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized 

• Firm grasp on administrative processes, and organizational policies 

• Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures 

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality

*Ideal candidate resides in Eastern or Central time zones.  

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 lbs. The employee may be required to transfer and/or treat those who are wheelchair bound.
