Job Description
SUMMARY
The Business Development Operations Analyst is a dual-function role that supports enterprise growth initiatives while ensuring the effective operation of the DC office as a high-impact collaboration hub. This position blends analytical, strategic, and operational responsibilities, serving as a critical enabler of business development execution and day-to-day organizational effectiveness.
In the Business Development Analyst capacity, the role supports growth, capture, and proposal efforts through opportunity and pipeline analysis, market and competitive research, reporting, and executive-level insights. The individual partners closely with Growth Team to inform pursuit decisions, support capture and proposal development, and improve the efficiency and scalability of business development processes.
In the Office Manager capacity, the role is responsible for coordinating and managing office operations to ensure the workspace is professional, functional, and optimized for collaboration. This includes supporting in-person meetings, proposal war rooms, visiting teams, external engagements, and overall office utilization. The role serves as a central point of coordination for office logistics while reinforcing expectations for purposeful in-office use.
Pay Rate: $99,000 / year
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Business Development Analyst:
· Support identification, qualification, and tracking of new business opportunities
· Analyze opportunity pipelines to assess maturity, risk, and probability of win
· Maintain accurate opportunity data within CRM and business development systems
· Conduct market research on target agencies, customers, and industry trends
· Analyze customer pain points, mission priorities, and procurement strategies
· Monitor IDIQ task order boards, eBuy, and other market research tools to ensure leadership is informed on opportunities
· Identify strategic gaps and areas for differentiation
· Provide research to support capture strategies and executive decision‑making
· Analyze business development data to identify trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities
· Develop dashboards, reports, and summaries related to pipeline health, win rates, and revenue forecasts
· Support leadership with data‑driven insights for prioritization and investment decisions
· Ensure data accuracy and consistency across BD reporting tool
· Support development of business development strategies and growth plans
· Analyze historical performance and lessons learned to inform future pursuits
· Additional duties and functions expected to fall under process within the business development cycle
Office Operations Manager:
· Oversee day‑to‑day office operations to ensure a safe, functional, and professional work environment
· Serve as the primary point of contact for office‑related needs and inquiries
· Establish and maintain office procedures, standards, and workflows
· Coordinate office access, scheduling, and general usage
· Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety or administrative standards
· Manage relationships with building management, vendors, and service providers
· Oversee maintenance, repairs, and facility‑related requests
· Ensure office cleanliness, organization, and readiness for daily use, meetings, and visitors
· Support on‑site meetings, workshops, and collaboration sessions (including executive meetings and war rooms)
· Coordinate logistics for visitors, traveling teams, and external partners
· Ensure meeting spaces are properly set up, supplied, and equipped
· Coordinate with Finance or Operations teams as needed for office-related expenses
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BS in related field is required.
3-5 years of experience required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA)
Knowledge—Enthusiastic, determined, results-driven, and solutions-orientated with a strong work ethic and integrity. Understands office operations to effectively manage a 10–15-person office. Has a foundational understanding of federal contracting business development.
Skill—Effective time management, with strong organization, negotiation and prioritization skills. Strong team player with superb interpersonal skills. Communicates and works well with others in a team environment.
Ability—Able to thrive in a challenging environment that requires a high degree of deadline-driven productivity, commitment, adaptability, communication, initiative, and follow-through.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITION
It is an indoor office space with proper lighting and a climate-controlled setting.
· Must be in-person in Loyal Source’s DC office in Metro Center whenever other team members are in office or when other situations require an onsite presence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to handle (lift and carry) objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
