(CEM) – Lead Assistant Health Services Administrator

Loyal Source is looking for an Lead Assistant Health Services Administrator for an employment opportunity in El Paso, Texas. 

As the Lead Assistant Health Services Administrator, you will serve as a senior administrative leader within a federally managed healthcare setting providing medical services to individuals in U.S. government custody. In addition to supporting facility health services operations, this role carries enhanced responsibility for administrative oversight, coordination across multiple functional areas, and supervision of additional Assistant Health Services Administrators. Working in a secure clinical environment, the Lead AHSA plays a central role in ensuring operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and timely execution of administrative priorities. This position requires sound judgment, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity, along with a demonstrated ability to manage complex workflows, respond effectively to government partners, and uphold the highest standards of ethical care and compliance in a high‑accountability setting.

Pay: $120,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of health services, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.

· Provide direct oversight and functional supervision of two Assistant Health Services Administrators (AHSAs), ensuring alignment with facility priorities, compliance requirements, and performance expectations.

· Support the Health Services Administrator in implementing policies and procedures that ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.

· Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including patient flow, service delivery, and staff productivity.

· Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient service delivery.

· Ensure timely, accurate, and coordinated responses to requests, data calls, and inquiries from ICE, IHSC, and other government or external partners, escalating issues as appropriate and tracking follow-through to completion.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards.

· Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.

· Serve as a liaison between departments, providers, and external partners.

· Act as the primary coordination point for administrative issue resolution involving subordinate AHSAs, external partners, and facility leadership.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

· 5+ years of experience in a healthcare administrative or supervisory role.

· Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements.

· Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

· Experience in correctional, military, or community health settings.

· Familiarity with Texas state health regulations.

Physical Requirements:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking or jogging over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment.

Schedule:

This facility operates 24/7/365. This full-time position requires working days, evenings, as well as weekends and holidays. Specific hours will be determined by the facility needs. On-call availability is not required.
