Job Description

SUMMARY

Experienced medical professional seeking a rewarding and challenging opportunity supporting 

medical services for Veterans. The Physician supports Loyal Source Government Services (LSGS) 

owned clinic(s) by providing and overseeing (when required) comprehensive focus exam services 

for the Compensation and Pension program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serves as a key clinical resource and provider for the Compensation and Pension / 

Medical Disability Examination program

• Facilitates both on-site and virtual physician onboarding orientations in a professional 

manner

• Works in collaboration with various clinical service providers and other allied health and 

ancillary support staff to assure quality care

• Establishes and maintains ongoing communications with both clinic team and corporate 

office.

• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires and Medical Opinions (DBQs) and (MOs) 

within required timeframe utilizing IT platform. 

• Complete all DBQs and MOs meeting Quality Assurance standards. 

• Hands on clinical work, oversight, of Physician Assistants as required

• Anticipates and resolves potential issues to avoid downstream problems and optimize 

the Veteran experience

• Ensures all processes are followed, i.e. the Abnormal findings protocols ensuring the 

Veteran is notified with instructions to follow-up with their primary care physician.

• Coaches’ other providers on company best practices to help achieve ability to complete 

quality medical reports per contractual requirements in a timely manner

• Collaborates closely with teammates, other internal teams and external partners as 

needed

• Assists in the creation of training materials specific to provider specialty and line of 

business is applicable

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENT

• Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of 

education in medicine or osteopathic medicine

• License: Current full and unrestricted licenses, permits, accreditation, and certificates 

required by law and are not barred from practicing such health care profession in any 

State, the District of Columbia, or a Commonwealth, territory, or possession of the 

United States

• Certification: valid State Medical Board certifications

• Other: Current and biannual certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Maintain licensure, all training requirements at all times

• Medical Disability Examination and Disability Benefits Questionnaire experience

• Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) 

background investigation

• 2 years Medical Disability Examination and Disability Benefits Questionnaire experience

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

• Sit or stand throughout a regular workday

• Able to work on computer for long periods

Pay Rate: $121,184
