Subcontract Administrator
Job Description
Summary
Assist in the preparation and administration of subcontracts, task orders, and subsequent amendments consistent with client requirements, government regulations, and procurement policies/procedures. The role involves reviewing client solicitations received by the company and requires a solid understanding of business principles, contracting concepts, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Subcontract Administrator will be responsible for subcontract preparation, administration, and performance management.
Pay Rate: $65,000 / year
Duties and Functions
- Responsible for timely and accurate entry of subcontract data into corporate data management systems on assigned programs.
- Responsible for preparation of subcontract solicitations, as well as negotiation and administration of subcontract agreements on assigned programs.
- Execute and administer labor staffing/construction service type contracts with wage determination requirements and Davis Bacon Act.
- Manage subcontractor performance, provide intermittent feedback, and support Program initiatives.
- Contribute to future strategy in the company and identify areas to improve.
- Apply creativity in resolution of contractual or customer service issues with customers, subcontractors, teaming partners, prime contractors, and industry partners.
- Operate with latitude for independent judgment and initiative. Participate in internal and external meetings, providing input and helpful suggestions relevant to assigned programs.
- Provide excellent customer service to all LSGS internal and external customers.
- Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- 1 or more years of contracts administration experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSA)
- Knowledge of business principles in areas such as procurement, business and contracts law, accounting, and standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of contracting concepts, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and agency supplements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Good presentation, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

Work Environment / Condition
This role will largely be remote based, so the employee should ensure they have a personal working space that is adequate to meet the demands of the position (i.e., limited noise and visual interruptions, desk area for a laptop and additional equipment, etc.). There may be further determinations to have local employees report to the Loyal Source office based on space availability and at the direction of senior leadership.
The employee may be required to travel based on operational needs. These locations may be under construction during site visits, so additional guidance will be provided by HR to ensure safety compliance for such visits.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role align with general office work. This includes talking or hearing, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, lifting, and/or moving up to 25 pounds, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and reaching. The employee may be requested to visit different locations, which may require flying and driving.
