Cable Technician – AWS Data Center (Houston, TX)

Overview

Loyal Source is seeking skilled Cable Technicians to support low‑voltage infrastructure projects within an AWS data center located in Houston, TX. This role focuses on the installation and certification of cabling for security systems in a mission‑critical environment. Candidates must have hands‑on experience running and terminating low‑voltage cable and working on structured cabling projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure low‑voltage cabling throughout the data‑center environment
• Terminate, label, and certify cable to meet project and industry standards
• Support installation of security system components, including cameras, access control devices, and related hardware
• Work closely with project managers, technicians, and AWS site personnel to ensure timely and accurate project execution
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety and data‑center protocols
• Troubleshoot cabling issues and assist with system testing as needed

Required Experience

• Proven experience running and terminating low‑voltage cable (Cat5/6, fiber, etc.)
• Ability to certify cabling using appropriate tools and equipment is required
• Experience supporting installation of security systems or similar low‑voltage technologies
• Familiarity with data‑center environments is strongly preferred

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to security system platforms such as:
  • Lenel
  • Axis
  • Hanwha
• Previous work in hyperscale or mission‑critical facilities
