Caregivers General Qualifications

Each contractor employee fulfilling a Caregiver or Supervisor Position shall have experience and training in the following areas of responsibility commensurate with the level required of Caregivers employed at state-licensed daycare facilities in the state where the Caregiver performs services. Certification of training and/or licensing shall be provided within 30 days after award, and shall also indicate the following minimum requirements have been met:

Pay Rate: $22.38 / hour

1.    High School Diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license.

2.   Minimum age of 18 years old.

3.    Record of immunizations and ability to pass background check.

4.    Good communication and interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish,

5.    Training in the following skills – personal care and toileting for children; basic hygiene and basic infection control; maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment; basic first aid and basic emergency procedures; understanding abuse and neglect. 

6.    Ability to perform vigorous physical activity (bending, standing, walking, sitting, etc.) for extended periods.

7.    Ability to hear and see well enough to monitor children and always keep them safe.

8.    Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Each contractor employee fulfilling a Supervisor Position shall additionally have qualifications and training in Management of personnel, Directing, and decision-making. Moreover, a minimum of 2 years progressively responsible experience in a same or substantially similar caregiver role shall be required for each supervisor position.
