Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 4 full-time Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, OH

Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse must provide professional medical services and quality care to our Veteran population. Located at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (LSCVAMC) in Cleveland, Ohio. Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent patient care.

Duties:

• ICU RNs provide direct care for critically ill patients by continuously monitoring vital signs, managing complex life-support equipment, and administering medications and treatments.
• Required to assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• ICU RNs also maintain detailed patient records and respond to medical emergencies with rapid and appropriate actions.

Qualifications:

• Required to have two years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience within the last three years.
• Graduated from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• A current license from the Ohio Board of Nursing or a current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) State.
• Current certification in CPR by an American Health Association Vendor
• Required to have a current Basic Life Support certification.
• Required to have current ACLS certification.
• Required to have basic typing and PC computer skills.

Additional Information:

• VA operations are twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week (24/7), including holidays.
• Shifts are primarily 12-hours, with some units offering 8-hour and 10-hour shifts.
• RNs shall be available to work on days, nights, evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
