Fire Alarm Inspection Technician

Location: Detroit, MI (travel through Saginaw, MI region)

Company: Loyal Source

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

Loyal Source is seeking a skilled Fire Technician to perform fire alarm system inspections throughout the Detroit to Saginaw, Michigan area. This role is strictly inspection-focused—there will be no service or installation work. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and experienced in conducting inspections across commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled fire alarm system inspections at commercial client sites
  • Document inspection results and generate service tickets for any deficiencies identified
  • Coordinate directly with clients to schedule and manage weekly inspection appointments
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and reports
  • Communicate professionally with clients on-site and ensure a high level of customer service
  • Travel between client locations as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • NICET Level II (Fire Alarm Systems) – Required
  • Valid Michigan Fire Alarm Speciality License – Required
  • Proven experience conducting fire alarm inspections
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security systems experience (access control, cameras, or related systems)

Work Environment

  • Client locations are commercial properties, including healthcare, retail, and other commercial facilities
  • Local and regional travel required within the Detroit–Saginaw corridor
