Job Description: Fire Alarm Technician – Addison, IL

Loyal Source is seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to support projects throughout the Chicago, IL area. This role focuses on installation, service, testing, troubleshooting, and programming of fire alarm systems in hospitals, high‑rise buildings, and other complex environments.

Position Details

  • Location: Addison, IL (projects primarily in Chicago)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Travel: Local only; no overnight travel

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, inspect, and program fire alarm systems and related life‑safety equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades in hospital and high‑rise environments.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA codes, local regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Complete documentation, testing reports, and service records accurately and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and safety on all job sites.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Fire Alarm Technician.
  • EST Level III required.
  • Hands‑on experience with installation, service, and programming of fire alarm systems.
  • Strong understanding of fire codes, life‑safety standards, and system integration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Pay Rate: $35/hr
