Delivery Enablement (PMO-Aligned)
- Partner with Project Managers to support scope definition, work breakdown, and dependency identification.
- Maintain alignment between requirements, project scope, and delivery plans; proactively surface scope drift and missing decision points.
- Contribute to PMO standards (templates, checklists, definition-of-ready, definition-of-done) to improve organizational consistency.
Agile / Hybrid Execution Support (Azure Boards)
- Manage and refine work items in Azure Boards (Epics/Features/User Stories/Tasks/Bugs) including:
- Story mapping, backlog refinement, and grooming support
- Acceptance criteria, dependencies, estimates (as applicable), and readiness checks
- Support hybrid delivery models (Scrum/Kanban) by maintaining a clear backlog and ensuring teams have “ready” work.

- Support planning activities using Microsoft Project by providing:
- Requirements-driven sequencing and milestones
- Dependency and risk inputs
- Change impacts from scope/requirements evolution
- Provide consistent delivery visibility via status notes, decision logs, and requirements traceability.

- Define test scenarios aligned to requirements
- Validate outputs (reports, dashboards, metrics) against acceptance criteria
- Drive measurable outcomes: reduced rework, improved stakeholder satisfaction, and better clarity for technical teams.
Stakeholder Communication & Governance
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment on requirements, definitions, and priorities—especially where reporting/data definitions differ across teams.
- Document and manage decisions, assumptions, risks, and open questions; ensure timely escalation when needed.
- Support governance routines (CAB/Change processes if applicable) by ensuring change requests have complete, actionable requirements and impact detail.
- Comfortable in technical conversations (data, reporting, integrations) without needing to be an engineer.
- Organized, proactive, and delivery-oriented.
- Balances speed with governance: “move fast, don’t create rework”.
Success Metrics (First 90–180 Days)
- Requirements for reporting/data work are consistently “ready” before development begins.

- Improved delivery predictability through better backlog hygiene and dependency visibility.
- Stakeholders report improved clarity and alignment on definitions (KPIs, metrics, logic).
Education and Experience
- 3–6 years of Business Analyst experience (or equivalent) supporting technology delivery.
- Demonstrated experience with technical requirements gathering for: Reporting/BI (dashboards, metrics, KPIs, semantic layers) and/or Data engineering (ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, integrations).
- Hands-on experience using:
- Azure DevOps / Azure Boards for backlog and delivery tracking
- Microsoft Project for project planning support (dependencies/milestones)
- Strong documentation and facilitation skills—able to lead working sessions with both business and technical audiences.
- Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements that teams can build and test without interpretation gaps.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with reporting ecosystems such as Power BI, semantic models, and metric definitions.
- Exposure to data platforms and concepts: data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data quality, data governance, master data, and lineage basics.
- Familiarity with M365 collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneNote) and standardized artifact management.
